May you walk with pride, for it is your right. by David Hart
Hart Walker

The Hart Walker is different from any other walker available to date. It consists of a four wheeled chassis and a long lower limb called a “brace”. It can be used from the age of about 3, and it enables a child who is only able to be in a sitting position to stand safely, with correct posture, and take a step. None of the users in the photographs shown in the photographic gallery look like children who could not stand on their own before. The Hart Walker enabled them to stand on their own for the first time.
The British medical engineer David Hart, who has been working on the development of the lower limb device, invented the Hart Walker in 1989 (and for which he has an international patent), mainly for children who because of cerebral palsy have never experienced walking. He opened a clinic beside the training facility and factory, and continues to provide this equipment to children and give guidance while making improvements. Nowadays they can be also used by people with walking difficulties with causes other than cerebral palsy.

The Hart Walker is an outstanding and effective product. However it requires continuous adjustment. Therapists who were trained at the clinic have been carrying out fitting and continuous adjustment in Europe, Canada, North America, Australia, New Zealand and other countries, of course in Japan.
